Ravi Govind

Ravi Govind serves as the Senior Director of Mental Health Services for the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services. In this role, he spearheads efforts to expand access to quality healthcare through innovative policy research, advocacy, and groundbreaking reimbursement mechanisms, directly benefiting vulnerable individuals and families within the child welfare system. A dedicated leader, he has been instrumental in crafting forward-thinking strategies and policies that empower communities and improve lives across Texas.

Previously, as Executive Director of Fair Deal Texas, a nonpartisan public policy organization, Ravi championed increased access and removal of systemic barriers to affordable healthcare across the Lone Star State. His work focused on promoting good governance, implementing payment reforms, and ensuring network adequacy to underserved populations. Ravi's career began in consulting, where he pioneered strategies for safety net hospitals to access billions in federal funds. He then transitioned to public service at the Health and Human Services Commission, where he provided critical regulatory stewardship for social services programs and ensured efficient use of public funds. 

A native Austinite, Ravi graduated summa cum laude with high honors in finance from Hofstra University. When not serving the people of Texas, he unwinds by watching cooking shows with his rescued black Lab mix.
